Ariyh is becoming Science Says

Here's the science we used to choose a highly effective brand name.

🥳 The new name for Ariyh is here!

I’ve been so excited to share this with you.

After months of research and deliberation, the moment is here. “Ariyh” is becoming… “Science Says”!

During the next 3 weeks, we will gradually update all our branding.

Important: this will include the email address you’ll be getting insights from, which means there’s a small chance the next insights could land in your promotions or spam folder (though we’re working to make sure that happens as little as possible!).

🎓 The science behind Science Says

My team and I did a deep dive into the latest scientific research in brand and product names and used that to drive our choice of a highly effective brand name.

Here is a high-level overview of the main science on which we based our decision.

“Science Says” is:

  • Easy to pronounce, making it more trustworthy [Ariyh insight]

  • Not a misspelled word, which would hurt its effectiveness [Ariyh insight]

  • Made from a memorable wordplay (with the game “Simon Says”) [Insight coming soon]

  • Composed of three syllables (not more) and is internationally understandable [Insight coming soon]

  • Directly suggestive of our main benefit (we explain what the science says) [Insight coming soon]

  • Suggestive of what it is, making it more likable at first impact [In the upcoming Science-based Playbook of Brand Names launching 17 October]

During the next 3 weeks (starting tomorrow) we will deep dive into 3 of the “coming soon” insights above that drove our decision.

đź’ś What do you think of the new name?

I’d love to hear what you think of it!

Do you like it as much as my team and I do?

Shoot a reply to this email (I read all your emails) or post a thought on LinkedIn or X and tag me or Ariyh.

Thomas,
Founder of Ariyh (now becoming Science Says 🥳)

P.S.: Of course, brand naming is a complex process with many elements to consider. There are dozens of other studies that influenced this decision or alternatives that were high on our list.

I share the step-by-step case study of how we did it, a recommended brand naming checklist, and the 27 most useful insights in naming in the upcoming Science-based Playbook of Brand Names.

The playbook will be available for free to all Ariyh Pro members on the 17th of October.
